Work-streams

Our six work-streams help us achieve our objectives.

1. Commercial partnerships

Commercial partnerships are important to us. We foster our partnerships by managing and monitoring existing agreements and developing new partnerships that support our corporate objectives.

Our commitment to open and honest communication and even-handed treatment of the market is furthering our reputation as one of the most trusted partners in the commercial sector.

2. Value for money

Guaranteeing value for money is a fundamental belief of our organisation. Our commercial management team works alongside the procurement and operational teams to assess the risks and rewards of all our business proposals.

3. Communication and engagement

Promoting an understanding of our work and its commercial value to health and social care is crucial to the organisation's development and growth.

We provide a single point of communication, both internally and with the commercial sector. Through building relationships and achieving buy-in, we can explore opportunities for partnering with external organisations.

4. Support to business development

On-going development is central to our strategy. Our commercial management team works with the business development team to assess the commercial viability, value for money and delivery of new business proposals.

5. Organisational development

Growing commercial pressure in the NHS and social care system means that organisations like ours have to work to the highest standards of business excellence to succeed.

Supported by the directors and HR team, we work closely with our senior managers to develop their entrepreneurial ability and commercial acumen and show them how they can use these skills to create opportunities.

6. Commercial exploitation

Given our strong public sector ethos, the shift to a market-driven care system presents major challenges. We believe that these challenges can be turned to our organisation's advantage.

Our commercial management team work closely with the deputy CEO, director of operations and new business directorates to find and exploit commercial opportunities that will benefit both our organisation and the wider NHS and social care sector.
