Commercial management
We aim to deliver bottom-line business improvement and value for money.
We aim to achieve this by:
- using high-level commercial acumen to support development
- promoting commercial awareness at every level within the organisation
- achieving value for money
- identifying ways to exploit our assets commercially
- developing partnerships and agreements to deliver greater volumes of high-quality information.
We have six work-streams to help us achieve these objectives.
We seek to improve the quality of and consistency of health information. We want to support and work with existing information service providers, rather than compete with them. We want to encourage new entrants into the information services market as this will bring additional capacity, innovation and competition.
To create a vibrant and responsive information market it is vital that access to national data resources is streamlined. We encourage openness in the use of NHS and social care data and information, and welcome independent use of these assets to achieve the aims and strategic objectives of our organisation, The NHS and social care services.
