World Class Commissioning Data Packs

Background

World class commissioning (WCC) is aimed at delivering outstanding performance in the way we commission health and care services. It has a direct impact on the health and well-being of the population. In partnership with local government, practice-based commissioners and others, PCTs supported by SHAs will lead the NHS in turning the world class commissioning vision into a reality, adding life to years and years to life.

Information is the key to decision making at all points of the commissioning cycle, when planning, procuring, monitoring and evaluating services, and the WCC Data Packs have a vital role to play in supporting this.

Why do we have the world class commissioning data packs?

As part of our ongoing commissioning programme, we are providing the WCC Data Packs are produced on behalf of the Department of Health to support PCTs during the World Class Commissioning (WCC) assurance process and in their commissioning activities.
