Immunisation
We look at the number of people who are immunised against childhood diseases by their first, second and fifth birthday, over 65s immunised against influenza and immunisation against tuberculosis (BCG).
Please note: There was an error in Table 12a of the NHS Immunisation Statistics England 2008-09 Bulletin. It was stated that the figures were in thousands, but actual numbers were given. This occurred in both the Excel and PDF versions of the document. This error was corrected on 27 October 2010 and new versions of the Excel and PDF documents have been placed on the website.

Important information
An error has been identified in historical figures relating to several areas of immunisation coverage for children immunised by their 5th birthday in London for the period 2007-08.
This affects published figures for London and England. The effect at England level is small and may increase estimated coverage on Diptheria / Tetanus / Polio / Pertussis, Hib and MMR by around 1 per cent at 5 years.
The effect on figures aggregated at London SHA level is more significant and may increase estimated immunisation coverage for the same range of immunisations in that region overall by up to 6 per cent.
The NHS IC apologises for the inconvenience caused by this error, and expect to issue definitive corrections in January 2010. 2008-09 figures are unaffected.
