Survey control
The IC acts as Survey Control Liaison on behalf of DH with regard to ongoing collections from Local Authorities and businesses.
In line with the Prime Ministers instructions, our responsibilities are to:
- prepare an annual Compliance and Quality Improvement Plan for the Survey Control Unit (SCU) in the Office for National Statistics (ONS)
- liaise with SCU on proposals for new surveys where the costs exceed 50,000 each year
- estimate and review compliance costs for all TheIC or DH surveys in these areas.
