New collections for 2006/07
Grant-funded services - new collection for 2006-07
The Information Centre has been collecting information on grant-funded services for the first time in November 2006.
This new collection asks for information on the numbers of vulnerable adults and older people who receive services outside of a formal care plan from voluntary or other organisations that receive funding from each authority. This information will give us a more comprehensive picture of the total number of vulnerable people who are being helped to live more independently in their own homes.
This activity is excluded from the annual Referrals, Assessments and Packages of Care (RAP) collection, which focuses on services provided or commissioned as part of a care package by the council.
The forms being used in the new survey can be found on the social care collections page.
The IC is collecting this important information for the first time as a result of our work on adult social care information development (ASCID). The Information Centre is developing social care information that's more relevant and responsive to changes in the way social care is provided.
This collection emerged from the ASCID work on defining future information requirements. Click to find out how this work has given us vital information about people who are being treated outside of a formal care plan.
