Independent sector collection of Mental Health Minimum Data Set (MHMDS)

From 1 April 2010 Independent and Third Sector Mental Health providers are required to collect the MHMDS. Local commissioner arrangements will determine the implementation timescales for individual providers.

To aid understanding of the MHMDS collection and submission requirements an introductory guide has been produced for providers new to the collection.
