Three more GP clinical systems suppliers sign up for GPES
The NHS Information Centre (the NHS IC) is pleased to announce that it has signed contracts with a further three GP clinical systems suppliers to provide support for GPES - its centrally managed general practice data extraction service.

New study estimates autism prevalence among adults with learning disability
Adults are much more likely to have autism if they have a learning disability suggests a new report, which also estimates about one adult in every 100 in the general population of England has some degree of autism.

Figures for 2010/11 also shows there were 15.8 million unplanned attendances recorded by the NHS IC's Hospital Episodes Statistics (HES) in the year, up more than 700,000 on 2009/10 when there were 15.1 million.
